Literary Impressions and the Sophisticated Side of What School Can Do For You

Different children experience various literary impressions as they process their way through what most kids of today go through and that is school. See, school for me was not all bad, but the major points in my life were between sixth grade and twelfth grade. Now, of course throughout that time a positive impact was produced, but the workload was very challenging. I was put in a particular environment where every child was basically for their selves. Not saying that the teachers didn't help, but it was like you had to find some kind of way to maneuver through out the school days and not let one single mistake mess up that report card. My One Word

FOCUS is the state or quality of having or producing clear visual definition. I have chosen this word because i have put myself in a position where i need to FOCUS on what i need accomplished this year. I am a new teacher , also i am in a masters program with no background knowldge of the content while I’m also in a ACP program . I am doing all these things while taking care of a 7 year old . I need to FOCUS so by the end of the semester i will pass my PPR and have my teaching certification. I need to FOCUS so that I can pass my classes and learn more about the content area. I need to FOCUS so that i can keep up with my job and try not to loose it on the first year. Also I need to FOCUS on my daughter so that i can get her where i need her to be for when she moves on to the 3rd grade. I recently read an article on HISD that said that they are going to FOCUS on reading literature for the children so that they may be able to read on their grade level.
